Default Dirt road section

There is this route I want to ride, but it has about 40km of dirt road.
I have heard something about the belt splitting if stones get in there...
Is this true, and have you done any time on dirt roads?

I havent heard that, only that this is not an off road vehicle. Not sure if you would void the warranty. there was a group of us that in order to get to this ghost town in Bodie we would need to travel approx 2 miles on a dirt road, we all said nah, we'll pass., it can stay a ghost town till I am in my car.
