Default Windscreen rattle

I have a very annoying rattle from the windscreen area. A new back should not be rattling. Everything seems tight. anyone else with this problem?

I have the same issue with my 2010 RT-S windshield. Feels loose on the hinge mech. and it does rattle even with the wind buffeting it around. I sold my BMW K1200LT prior to ordering the Spyder and it had a similar feature to the windshield, but never any looseness or rattles. Like you, I expected better.

I too had a bmw k1200 LT with the adjustable windscreen and it rattled on the same road as does the spyder... Guess it is just my rough road. That is the only time I notice the rattle. I can't really tell where the rattle is as everything seems tight.

Default RT Windscreen Rattle

Mine didn't start rattling until about 150 miles and it is really annoying. It seems that every little bump causes this rattle, especially the raised lane divider buttons. I would also expect more for a $25K bike ! I too will have it checked at the 600 mi service. I was hoping my problem was unique, therefore easily fixed, but it appears from posts that a lot of people have the identical problem !

I sort of tracked it down to the center "lower" mount... There has to be a little play in the for things to pivot and line up as it moves, so I think that it's a normal thing... (Dropped mine off yesterday for its first service and mentioned it too!)
