Has anyone used the new IPOD that has wifi hooked up to their RT? Does it work OK?

Gonna need to be more specific on iPod model man.

I use the newest generation iPod nano on my rt. nice and compact. I just clip it straight to the adaptor.

I have the older 160gig version on mine..

but I don't think it really matters what version one uses as the controls on the bike are very basic. I don't think you will be able to use the wifi at all

If you are wanting the wifi so you can sync automatically when you pull in your garage, it won't work. Automatic syncing only occurs when the iPod is charging, which it isn't when the bike is turned off. You can, however initiate a manual wireless sync from your computer. But iPods don't play music over wifi. There might be one that supports bluetooth, but your bike won't support Bluetooth without modding it.

If you have the factory Garmin gps (standard on the Rt Ltd's) then you may be able to sync the blue tooth but not sure what good it will do

I'm getting a headache here with all of this high-tech talk...
My Missus just bought me some sort of little Apple Nano thingie (7.35gb...) and I'm stuffing my choice of noise in it while I'm still waiting for my Spyder to get back from the repair shop...
It's got an FM radio in it; which I figure is just a waste of time... But's what's all of this about WiFi??

There are apps that allow you to pick up internet radio when connected to a WiFi hotspot, but if you are thinking about riding and staying hooked up to WiFi, it isnt going to happen. The range from a hotspot isnt that far.
