Default audio system problems

Thought I had the problem taken care of and had posted about this problem before in another thread but can't find it so I'll repost. Been having a problem with the volume suddenly going full blast and with helmets on thats an eye opener. Hitting the mute button doesn't turn it off but hitting the raise button does.....sort of backwards. It has happened several times and for no apparent reason. I played with the auto volume adjust....don't know why other than it was something to try...and for some reason that seemed to take care of the problem. We went on several rides and all was fine for a couple of weeks , no problems , everything worked fine.

Headed for Tenn last weekend and about 200 miles into the trip the volume problem reappeared , hit the raise button and it muted . System seemed to be working normal , cb , radio , intercom..After about another 50 miles it did it again . This time after muting , the raise button didn't work ...never moved on the panel. The intercom was still working so we continued down the road with no music to keep wife happy. Not long after that the intercom started acting up , losing volume in pass headset and I wasn't able to talk to her. She could talk to me and I could sort of hear her and no amount of button pushing made any difference , tried them all. After about 15 minutes her system went down also and everything was dead.No music , no cb , no intercom , total silence . Stopped for gas and played with buttons and nothing , didn't try external speakers but did swap headsets and didn't make a difference. Figured that it had finally stayed broken and planned on taking it into the dealer today .Started the bike up and drats...system was working again , both headsets were fine and everything working like it should.

Has anyone else had a similar problem ? To me it almost has to be in the mode cluster panel since the switch works backward when the volume rears up and mute button don't work. Any other time I can push and hold the button and it mutes.

In the preferences mode under headsets there's a string of numbers that come up .Looked in the manual and all paperwork and can't find anything about what they are. I made several adjustments up and down to them when the problem was there but nothing changed. Getting frustrating , especially since it won't stay broken so they can trouble shoot it. Did go to the dealer today and they said if it ain't broke they can't fix it but they would contact BRP with the question.

This "Sounds" like a trip to the dealer is in order... An intermittent problem such as this kind of points to loose connections???

I have have sorta same kind of issues lately

will be driving along and a HUGE !! popping sound ( almost like a backfire) and right side speakers go dead

after a while the sound comes back on but very low

of course when I took it into the dealer everything was just dandy fine
I said I would break it now and they said even better, that way they know whats wrong.

Getting really frustrating because it won't stay broke. Dealer said they would call BRP but haven't heard anything. They were sposed to call them yesterday.....must be on slow time...LOL

I have a feeling my problem is a loose connection somewhere from when they installed the audio. I have had the loud noise also but it turned out to be the connector in the helmet being loose.

Unhappy Audio system problems

Picked up new RT Limited in April, and started trip from Nevada to Missouri in mid June, and about 200 miles into the trip, I lost all input from the audio system. My wive still had communications on the passenger head set, but couldn't communicate with me through the intercom. To make a long story short, after 9 weeks in the shop, since July, at various times, numerous component changes, my dealer is currently replacing the communications wiring harness. This is the area in which the problems seem to be.
