Default RT mufflers

I have been thinking about looking into an after market muffler for my RT Ltd.

I am not looking for something real noisey, but just a nice little rumble.

most I have seen so far seem to be for the RS or are real noisey.

I found this one but can't find much info on them

index

they look great and seem to sound great too

anyone heard of them?

An awful lot of guys swear by 2 Brothers...
There's a guy on another forum by the name of Schulzie who's making a set that sounds killer!
(I'll PM you with more...)

Oh! By "Killer"; I meant "Excellent"!
He can set them up with a variety of tips, and I think that there are silencer cores available if you want more rumble than sound...

Default I like

Wow, I really like the look and sound of the dual exhaust.

I am not about loud, but actually love the sound of the HD, just not the volume

Please post again if you get it and let us know what you think...

Dee

I changed mine out last week. I could not see spending 4 to 800.00 for a muffler so I came up with my own. I used a Magnaflow, 175.00 installed from a local muffler shop. No louder than stock but a very deep tone.

What model Magna-flow is that? Did the tip come with it or was that an add-on? Runs good with it on? How long have you had that combo together and running? Thanks! Bill

Farmboy can you please get the model. If it sounds deeper than the stock I might try it for $175. Bill2

Farm Boy I find that very pleasing to look at and I sure would like to know the model number or some kind of ID #'s at least. I also would like to know how much time you have running it to see if there will be any computer mixture problems or O-2 sensor problems thus far. I hope it works for you and is an alternative for me too as the stock one is splitting and peeling paint right now. Has there been any problem with heat on the side bag above it? Again how many miles do you have on it approximately? Thanks for the pictures, I like it as I said! Bill
