Default Does IPOD charge when using in RT spyder?

I want to buy a used Ipod for my new RT A&C but the seller says the battery is pretty week. I don't care as long as when I'm using it on the Spyder it is charging. Another way to say it is....I only see the one port on the bottom of the IPOD which normally has a USB connector for the computer on the other end. But when that port is used with the spyder cord to plug into the right port in the top rear storage bin I wonder if it plays music and charges?

Yes, Ipod charges when Spyder is running -- not when it's turned off. If you have the folder that talks about the electronic command center, that is where the directions are for controlling the radio and Ipod. I downloaded 'motorcyle riding music' and put in a separate folder so I can listen to it while riding. Love it.

I use a Nano 6th generation with a cracked screen for my music. As long as the iPod will play, it will work with the iPod integration cable.

Not sure what will happen if the iPod battery completely dies between rides though.

If yo're using an Ipod with the Ipod cable you're good to go!
If you've got an MP3 player and are using that cable, the it won't charge!
