Default Why doesn't the frunk button work until engine on?

Found this odd too. One would think the trunk opener would work with the key "ON" without the engine running...but it only works with the engine on. Same with the light up there. Only works with engine on.

I don't know how many times I've flicked the key on, only to have to turn off, to turn the key to open the trunk.

The linked German site requires log in to see the thread. Does it have a do it yourself solution so the button worked with ignition on, but without engine running? Does it tell you to take it to dealer for repair?

Anyone have a Spyder that the frunk button works with the ignition on but without the engine on?

Danke fur die Informationen!

Default

there is a 10pin socket under the left front-panel .. you cut one wire and make the bridge like here on the picture - should be done by a profi ..
