Most likely it is your brake pads or just your back brake dragging a bit. Try pressing on the brake as you are backing up and see if it stops. How many miles do you have on your spyder?

Default brake squeel

Use disc brake quiet on the backs of all your brake pads, it works great.

Don't worry is only rear brake and unless you drive backward a lot it won't be a problem.

Gen 3 pads cut the noise level down by about 75%...

Default Squeal

My RTS has done this from day one. When it's time for pads (now at 15K) I will try the newer pads. Also spoke with a respected Spyder mechanic who indicated that this could also be caused by a light glazing. Maybe a pass with some 000 steel wool on the discs?

I changed my rear tire to a kuhmo and had the shop realign the back end. That took care of the problem.
