Talking Driving Lights

here is a short vid of my dynamic driving lights

excuse the tire noise on the cement

they are at about 90% off here, they are way too bright to have on full at this range, they are brighter than my HID headlights

dynamic driving lights, You find them brighter than HID's?
How are they for distance and faning out to see the edge of road and ditch?

Also where do you get them? I am running HID myself, but more light the better.
My fear is hitting a deer or some other wildlife rideing at night.

these are about the brightest lights you can get and yes when they are turned up full they are brighter than my HID's

you have to remember these are 4 small LED's in each side.. but it is the ability to have the lights track with your wheels is the reason I got them

Can Am Spyder specialty LED lighting is where I got them from..

so far have not had much driving time on them as our driving season is over up here.. it is remarkable how much coverage they have at full brightness the couple of times I have been able to use them.. I have a little video which my wife took and all you see of me coming towards her is blinding circle of white light.

as far as deer are concerned I bought 2 different types of deer alerts, one is the normal deer whistle you stick on your fenders that give off some sort of high pitched sound the other is an electronic deal that when you turn it on gives a sound that you can hear and is supposed to be able to be heard by deer. I have it on a switch so I can turn it on/off. so far have been able to use it a couple of times and no deer, but then they might have been up in the hills someplace too.. hehe

Don't let those deer whistles lull you into a sense of false-security... Just because they can hear it doesn't mean that they're going to run off in a predictable direction!

I thought the picture my wife took of the driving lights on high was a video but it's not

this is what it looks like coming directly at you. Also the HID highbeams are NOT on

Pal, I've been trying to figure this out. Exactly -where- do you put all the on off switches for your accessory lights? Like these ones? I'd think you might get in trouble for them being so bright. Dont want to get ticketed for failing to dim lights for oncoming vehicles. Would kind of like these on my bike though.

If you have a chance; take a peek at the cockpit of a GL 1800. His switching will make ANY GoldWinger jealous!

you can buy the driving lights 2 ways

one with just an on/off switch but then they are at full brightness all the time

OR

you can spend a few more bucks and get a remote switch that allows you to set them at what ever brightness you want (this is what I have)

I was thinking about what to do about on coming traffic too and thought that trying to find the remote in a pocket was going to cause a few issues so I installed a 3 way illuminated switch just under the bars, with in easy reach to turn them off/on as needed

as for the rest of the lights there are no switches for them at all. turn the key and everything goes on
