Default High pitched tone with ignition off

Before leaving for a trip this last weekend I took the bike out for a spin and when putting it in the garage and turning it off I could hear a very high pitched tone. At first I thought it was the freezer in the garage but it wasn't , it was coming from the bike and sounded like from the front half. Thought that something was left turned on and turned the key back to on and the tone went away but came back on again and remained on with the key turned back to off.It stays on for about 10 minutes and then goes away. Anyone have any insight into as to what it might be ?

Mine new 2011 RTS does that too. The dealer pointed that out while we were still in the showroom and he was giving me the over view of the machine. They all do that apparently. He cautioned me to not do repeated key on/ key off cycles showing everyone the cool features as it will run down the battery. After stating that he pointed out the high pitched noise and said it would stay on for up to 30 minutes. Not sure what servo, relay, etc it is.

That's normal... it's a servio holding the throttle bodies closed. It should be a bit loud like that for about 40 minutes after shutdown...
