I hadn't even been considering the pricing... but the only set of floorobards that i've seen, with a new brake pedal, topped the scales at well over $1000
If a better looking and less pricey alternative was available...

Well after a year of looking at all the floor boards out there for the spyder rs I have decided to spend the money to get what I believe is the best ones out there, they are not cheep ($1700) but comfort is very important for me and looks as well. What I can tell you is for me they give me the ability to have my legs at a more comfortable position straight out and at the same time give me more stability especially in the corners and I still have the original pegs that was also very important to keep and most of the other boards you loose them or they are set even higher. On the finish fit and quality of these boards they are pop notch as you can see they replace not only the side panel but the bottom ones as well as they are one piece, these are very heavy made fiberglass much much thicker that the stock side panels and you can stand of them I had them paint it yellow to match my spyder and it's a perfect match as well quality paint job. To be fair I have to give the best review on these as I can and for me I wish the black no-skid pad (feels like sand paper) was rubber like what you find on jet skies (hydro-turf rubber) or on some of the after market floor boards that you generally see on the big cruisers this is something I will look into changing myself. Vertika of Canada make some great products for our spyder's and Joe Catherine and Gerry are really great to deal with and for me were very helpful as I had my boards installed in Quebec and they were very accommodating to make this happen, one other products I have on the way is a completely new back fender that is much better looking than the stock one which I saw on Joe's spyder while at the Spyder event in Quebec a few weeks ago and I told Joe he was lucky it was not yellow and they have many more that in time I will be getting for my spyder as well. Very important for me to say, I am in no way affiliated with Vertika and did not get anything free to give this review on my boards or any other products I believe the forums are a great community for us to learn of products for your spyder's and it's to share with everyone about the good and the bad that is out there for us to enhance our machine for looks comfort safety and funsanatily, with that said I am very happy with my floor boards.
Hi Roger,
Man oh man... those are sexy as all get-out! Do you have a website address for them, and do they make a board for the RT models???
Pricing... but they sure do look to be worth it.

Well I found 'em... their prices are just a WEE bit on the high side... over $3600 for the RT boards is just unreasonable... unless I'm really missing something here...
So who else is making boards or knows where we can get some???

Thanks! Yes; I looked those over every which way... I'm just not happy with how they look... They just don't match up well at all with the passenger's 'boards. I'd also like to see a nice gooey rubber footpad to stomp on when my feet go numb...
Maybe I'm just being a bit too fussy...
They DO look sharp though...

Understand... I keep looking for something like the boards I had on my HD dresser.. rubber foot pads.. that match the passenger boards.. until then I will probably stick with the stock pegs and maybe go with someones highway foot rest set up..
I just jumped onto the forum to check out what other members are doing - just finished my third trip on '09 SE5 and I'm sure what needs to be done now to make it better for crusin. More rise in the handlebars - going to check out the 3" risers - already has the cheapier 1" riser from BRP. Got a lady getting material to redo my seat - custom fit for my A**. And something for the front feet - some nice floorboards to lower and move them them forward would be great - if they didn't bust the bank. But the highway bars I've seen might be the economical answer. Going to go ahead and order the BRP backrest and sport rack. Will do an aftermarket cargo box - thanks for the help from your guys on this. Wonderful thread on using a Sears or JC Whitney trunk !! That's the kind of stuff that these forums were created for! Going for the nelson-rigg soft saddlebags and a tank bag and I will be ready for Vegas next month !
I have seen the ISCI boards and they do help with the position of your feet and are very strong/sturdy but they do look like they are not part of the spyder and were made by someone who had a machine shop, sure the price was right but they just don't look like they belong there but if the Vertika comfort boards were not available then I would have gotten the ISCI boards.
It's just too bad that they are soooooo pricey...
I think that you are correct in your styling assessment... they just don't look as if they belong on the bike. Good call!
