My 2008 spyder keeps stalling when I downshift into 1st like to stop at a light, this seems to really only happen when it is extremly hot and humid. All recalls have been done. Also, is there anyone else here in Indiana with a spyder? Thanks
Does your Spyder have the SM-5 or SE-5 transmission??

My SE5 09 had this problem when it was new, first problem was the semi auto clutch would not disengage and had the dealership adjust.
Next, especially during a hot, humid day, the bike wasn't getting enough air into the intake because of the design, I removed the snorkle and added a cool air intake from MMG, haven't had any problems with stalling ever since.

the service manger here said there was issues with the clutch on the old models and that's why they had stalling issues, but she never said what the "fix" was
So I'm guessing that the clutch isn't disengaging consistently??? If the plates are sticking together it's definitely something that can be fixed...by a dealer!

Taking it to the dealership tomorrow, have to trailer it. hopefully they can find what is wrong with it. I love my spyder and I love to ride . she is now throwing the following faults, VSS, DPS, EBD. and is ideling way way way too high! and that is when I first start her up. I am thinking that the DPS that was put in for the recall was bad. Thanks for all the suggestions, I will keep you posted.
