Helmet locks

We have full coverage helmets with the Sena wireless
communication systems.
One helmet will fit in the front compartment
but none will fit anywhere else.

The Canam RT Limited does not have helmet locks.
If you are travelling with all storage in use, where do
you lock your helmets????

Seems to be a very small overlooked detail

I have used a short cable lock and locked the helmet to the passenger grab handle before. That is secure enough to keep honest people honest.

There are two built-in helmet locks.

There are two hooks underneath the seat, one on either side. You raise the seat, put the helmet buckle in the hook and lock the seat back. They're not obvious but they work.

You can also buy helmet locks from Lidlox Grip Tip Motorcycle Helmet Lock. These replace the end caps on your handlebars and they work very well.

Tried the helmet hooks under the seat.
Unfortunately the Senna wireless will not
give enough room to use them.

I guess I will either go to Lidlox or a cable.

The front cargo will hold one helmet but not both.
The one side case will not work with the wireless either.
We usually have gear in the cases anyway.

The Helmet Hook

Try the Helmet Hook (thehelmethook.com) only $15.95 and fits most hand grips.
I also us the Can-Am under seat hooks, but added a 6" flat nylon strap with eyelets sewn into each end. Used 'wire tie' to attach one end near hook under the seat. Loop the strap thru the 'D Ring' on the helmet then hook the under seat hook and lock the seat. Works great for any size helmet.

I have the Rivco brand twin flag holders on my RT I have removed the acorn nuts from the bottom of the flag poles and replaced them with an I nut (like an I bolt but it is a nut with a loop on it) got the special stainless nuts at a marine supply shop, now I use combenation luggage locks to secure our helmets

We have a 16 RTLimited and Soli full face helmetswith Sena wireless also. One fits in front with same Sena attached and by removing second helmet Sena I just discovered it fit in side compartment by placing bottom of helmet toward inside then the top fits in the indentation on the inside of the door.

Guys, in response to some of the posts here.

I'd like to say that I also have the Helmet Hook and love it and note that unlike the Lidlox that was designed
to be lockable, the helmet hook was NOT. You can add a padlock from them if you want to lock it.

The thing I like more about the helmet hook is that you do NOT need to unlock anything to use it. It was made
to just make it easy for you to hang your helmet and lock IF you want to.

I also wanted to to mention that the Helmet Hook site also has a thin steel cable very suitable for locking the helmet
or clothes to the bike.
Jacket Caddy - Locking Cable - Secure Apparel, Equipment, etc. | The Helmet Hook

Should you decide to get any of the products and you will need a padlock, get theirs as the helmet hook requires a longer
and thinner shackle which might otherwise be harder to find.
