Also could not go past 34 mph with out the bike bucking ( I think it was in limp mode)By chance I was only a few miles from the dealer when this happened. Got to dealer (By the way is no longer a Can-Am dealer) and spoke to service man, He said he couldn't even check the computer since he is no longer a dealer when I went to start the the bike again it still showed 4th gear but started, Paddled down to neutral got on bike and tested it it shifted like there was no problem and I drove the bike back to home and put on about 75 miles with no problem let bike stand about 2 hours and went out again and put on another 50 mph with no problems. Does anybody know if there is a recall on the SE5 and have any of you had the same problem (2009 bike purchased in late August) thanks for any replies Bill Steele
FYI: Recall for 2010 RT-SE5 for failure of the centrifugal clutch to release for down shift; stalling the engine and locking rear wheel. Could a stuck clutch explain your problem? Mine hung up at a stop sign and stalled in 1st, but then released and started.
